At Human-Animal Matching Mission, we believe every pet deserves a life filled with love, safety, and dignity. Founded in 2019, our nonprofit organization is driven by a passionate team of animal lovers, veterinarians, and volunteers dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple yet profound: to be the voice for those who cannot speak. We work tirelessly to rescue pets from perilous situations, provide them with medical care, nurture them back to health, and find them forever homes where they can thrive. But our work doesn’t stop there—we also strive to educate communities on responsible pet ownership, advocate for animal welfare policies, and promote spaying/neutering to reduce overpopulation.

How It All Began

Human-Animal Matching Mission was born out of a shared heartbreak and hope. Our founder, David Alarid, witnessed firsthand the struggles of stray and mistreated animals in Austin/Texas. What started as a small grassroots effort to feed and shelter a few homeless pets quickly grew into a full-fledged movement. Today, we’ve expanded our reach, but our core value remains unchanged: every life matters.

What We Do

Rescue & Rehabilitation: Our team responds to emergencies, rehabilitates injured or traumatized animals, and prepares them for adoption.
Foster & Adoption Programs: We connect pets with loving foster families and carefully match them with adopters committed to lifelong care.
Community Education: Through workshops, school programs, and social media, we teach compassion, proper care, and the importance of adoption.
Advocacy: We lobby for stronger animal protection laws and collaborate with local authorities to combat cruelty and neglect.
